COVID-19…. We are dealing with difficult times, and while many are facing stressful conditions, no one is more at risk than our essential frontliners.
Health care workers, grocery clerks, delivery personnel, cleaners, bus drivers, and all who are facing the challenge of going outside to serve the public, are being stretched to the limit and beyond. With mounting cases, they are overstressed, overwhelmed and filled with fear – fear for their families, patients, co-workers… and silently for themselves.
It is expected that many of these workers will experience Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) once the crisis is over. We recognize that things will get worse before they get better. Many of our heroes are isolated from their families and may not have someone to turn to during this difficult time.
It is thus imperative that we provide them with psychological assistance NOW – so we can proactively reduce the PTSD cases later.
Understanding as well the importance of maintaining a headstrong mindset in the face of this prolonged crisis, I would like to do my part in offering free online group support for frontliners every Tuesday and Friday, starting April 14th, during the length of the COVID-19 quarantine period from 7-8:30pm
These online groups will offer our frontliners access to a support group that will listen to their struggles, offer them mindset tools to release tension and ensure that these dedicated people have the armour to safeguard their emotional well-being before heading back again to the frontline.
If you or someone you know is a frontline worker, this service is for you and your wellness. I and the TrueSelf team would like to be there for you during this arduous journey.
It’s vital that we care for those who care for others.
To join this online group, please contact 514-933-2289 or goodliving @ trueself-psychology.com so we can send you a link to confirm your attendance.
We appreciate you and we value your service. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
