A simple word, but a difficult act to implement.
We think that forgiveness only helps the person who hurt us, and why would we want to do that?
Because forgiveness serves you more than the person you are forgiving. Surprising, huh?
If you hold onto the pain of your hurt, you’ll stop yourself from outgrowing the experience, seeing the greater good of it and learning from it.
Once you get to a place where you see the value of the experience… what it taught you about life, how to better yourself… then you’ll be able to outgrow the pain and let it all go. And, when you let go, you are able to thank the experience for helping you get what you need…
Forgiveness also puts you energetically and emotionally in a better position in life because the growth you experience from it will give you a sense of maturity, development, and greater alignment with yourself.
So, thank the experience for happening instead of wishing that it didn’t. You thanking it will bring you to a place of strength and wisdom you’ll need on your next life adventure.
Love your trueself and all of your experiences – good or bad,
